The rapid pace of industrial development in Turkey during 1970s and 1980s created a great demand for engineering and construction services in petroleum, petrochemical and power generation areas.

Especially engineering design and procurement activities of these newly built petroleum refineries, crude oil pipelines, natural gas pipelines, petrochemical complexes, and combined cycle power plants were carried out by mostly Western European or American Engineering Companies.

As local engineering manpower become available at comparatively lower rates, these European and American Engineering Companies have opened offices in Turkey and trained Turkish nationals for detailed engineering and procurement work.

The detailed engineering carried out in Turkey included civil and piping design and drafting. This has created a pool of well trained and experienced engineering work force.

Under these circumtances IPEC / Group, Industrial Project Engineering, Consulting, and Construction Company was founded in 1988 with the objective of providing quality piping design and drafting services to petroleum, petrochemical, and power generating industries.

During the past 25 years, IPEC / Group has developped into an integrated engineering, consulting, and construction company capable of carrying out EPC contracts in the fields of petroleum, petrochemical, and power generating industries.
